For sale at gateway classic cars in our st. Louis showroom is a 1923 Ford t-bucket. Powering this bad to the bone t-bucket is a 350 small block chevy with 461 double hump heads featuring heavy duty valve springs, an edelbrock camshaft with .488 intake lift and .510 exhaust lift, a 650 double pumper carburetor, mallory distributor and a set of unmistakable zoomie powder coated headers by sanderson. The small block is mated to a th-350 automatic transmission with a summit ten inch converter that features a 3,000 rpm stall. With a t-bucket, dressing up the engine is part of the whole look. In addition to the zoomie headers, there is a polished aluminum air cleaner, polished aluminum finned valve covers, chrome alternator, braided lines, a polished firewall, chrome water pump, fuel pressure gauge, polished aluminum oil pan, custom polished stainless steel shock towers for the front shocks with led lights and a custom bar with the Ford v8 emblem between the shock towers. This is only part of the look. The rest of it comes from the smooth black paint finish complemented by some flames and custom pin striping. Then there's the polished aluminum crager wheels with mickey thompson radial rubber. Those meats in the back measure 29" tall and 18" wide on a 15" diameter wheel. The fronts are 24" tall and only 5" wide. Underneath the car is a polished aluminum oil pan, rear end cover, a larger transmission pan and new rear shock bushings for the adjustable coil overs for the rear suspension. The last part of the underside is a 10 bolt gm rear end housing a 4.11:1 gear ratio. Inside is a tan vinyl bench seat, a wood rimmed steering wheel attached to a tilt column and a b&m shifter. Other notable items in the interior include a beautiful dash that is machine turned with a glass cover. The glass cover has been custom fabricated to fit perfectly around the stewart warner gauges. This is a well thought out build that is sure to stand out amongst the other t-buckets. Even though the build has around 7,000 miles since its completion, it looks brand new.
