This 1923 Ford t-bucket titled as a 1937 Ford pickup is for sale in our louisville ky showroom. Celebrating the glory days of hot rodding is this 1923 Ford t-bucket. The term ????hot rod????? Became commonplace in the 1930s or 1940s as the name of a car that had been "hopped up" by modifying the engine in various ways to achieve higher performance. The body/frame for this t-bucket is gloss black with a red pin striping running the length of the frame and accenting the body lines for a smidgen of color. The frame and body were produced by a company named total performance. A 283 cid engine has been fitted between the frame rails of this light weight bucket. For extra performance, the 283 v8 has a set of 350 heads to get more air/fuel in and out of the engine. To take advantage of the larger heads, a bigger cam (.465 lift intake/.488 lift exhaust) has also been added. To insure plenty of fuel is fed to the 283 v8, an edelbrock intake with 3 two barrel carburetors sits on top. A set of patriot ceramic coated long tube headers, with side pipes, takes care of the exhaust fumes. The overall look of the engine package has the ????50????s hot rodding era written all over it. Getting the power from the 283 v8 is a turbo-hydramatic transmission with a b&m shift kit. Insuring the rear end is capable the power of the rest of the drive train is a Ford 9 inch rear end. To keep the weight down, the center section of the 9 inch rear end is a winters aluminum center section. Inside the center section is a detroit locker with 3.89 gears. With this get up and go, you????re gonna want to be able and stop it. These duties are handled by a set of Ford 11 inch rear drum brakes, and hurst airheart front disc brakes. The front disc brakes and spindles are hung from a chrome total performance front drop axle. It looks absolutely stunning and gives this t-bucket jus t the right stance. Making it a little easier to enter this door-less beauty is a small step up located on each side of the car. The step is welded to the frame and keeps you from stepping on the header side pipe. The steering wheel also tilts for easier entries and exits. Monitoring vital functions such as oil pressure, water temperature, amperage, engine rpm????s, speed and fuel level are a set of classic instruments gauges. The wheels are centerline aluminum racings wheels that give this t-bucket an all business look. Options on this 1923 Ford t-bucket include; tilt steering wheel, vinyl interior, front disc brakes and aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires.
