This 1935 Chevrolet 3 window coupe is for sale in our louisville showroom. This 1935 Chevrolet 3 window coupe shows only 1159 miles show on the odometer of this current build. Before talking about just how beautiful this 2009 turtle wax/street rodder winner (voted ????street rod of the year?????), we must 1st go back to the beginning and how this car was brought all together. For his 50th birthday the owner wanted to buy and build a car of his dreams. In the state of pennsylvania, the quest for an all steel street rod was found. The car had been sitting 20 years as a project car, but that was about to all change. This coupe was purchased, taken a part; media blasted, and then sent off to california, so that the fine folks at marcel custom metal shaping could perform their handy work on the car. 2 ???? Inches were taken out of the top, and then it was reassembled. Unlike fords of the same time period, Chevrolet used wood in the inner construction of their vehicles. This is a big reason why many of these coupes have not survived the ravages of time. At marcel????s, all the wood inner structure has been removed and a new steel inner structure resides in its place. The doors were also replaced with suicide style doors, the cowl vent was filled, the window garnish has been modified, and a new deck lid and floor were also fabricated for this Chevrolet 3 window coupe. There are other styling cues that you really have to look for, but will appreciate the workmanship that has gone into this full on custom street rod. Some of the other changes include; smoothed running boards, smoothed firewall, shaved door handles, 3 piece hood, headlight bar removed, front turn signals flush mounted into the grilled, flush 3rd /lower led brake lights, new frame from street rods by michael and the list goes on! From california the car was sent off to roger burman of lakeside rods & rides, in rockwell city iowa, where the reassembly took place. After assembly, the vibrant viper red paint applied to the body. Under the hood of this beautiful totally reworked all steel Chevrolet 3 window coupe is a zz4 350 crate engine that has been outfitted with a edelbrock durashine carburetor, edelbrock durashine intake, hpc headers and hushpower mufflers. The engine back by a 700r4 automatic transmission, which allows for a tad bit more gearing in the rear, and still cruise at low rpm????s on the highway. Putting this power to the ground is a ford 9 inch rear end with 3.90 gears. The front suspension is a heidt????s ifs. Looking underneath, you will find the car to be just as detailed as the top with everything either painted or chromed. This custom build may be one of the better traveled builds to be in our showrooms. The coupe was then sent to dan weber custom interiors, of alexandria mn, where the custom sand colored ultra leather interior and carpet was installed. As set of vdo gauges monitor all the important items, and a vintage air system keeps everything nice and cool. This 1935 Chevrolet 3 window coupe includes; am/fm radio with cd player, leather interior, seat belts, power front/rear disc brakes, 17 inch billet specialties wheels wrapped in 215/45/17 michelin radial tires in the front and 18 inch billet specialties wheels with 225/60/r18 michelin radial tires in the rear.
