Description: stk. 1907 1939 Ford cabriolet this award winning 1939 Ford cabriolet was created by vintage rods and customs of new london, nc. A gibbons fiberglass body was selected to start the project in motion and in 2008 the painting process began. It was the treated to a shimmering and deep ppg cranberry paint scheme that presents itself incredibly well even six years later. Approaching this exterior with a minimalist look, the only chrome adorning it is that of the grille, headlight bezels, windshield wipers and side-view mirrors. The end result is staggering. Billet specialties wheels mounted on 195/60/r15 and 235/70/r15 bf goodrich tires fills those wheel wells to just the right level and offers just the right stance. Its cloth top is top notch in execution and materials and with a minimal amount of fuss can be easily removed for topless cruising. The original interior of white and cranberry was replaced in 2014 with brand new material in tan and cranberry creation by mike and delores vandenberg of sew fine custom upholstery to provide an updated and more attractive contrast to its spectacular exterior. A perfect slender symmetry was established with a custom set of dakota digital gauges flanked by a small oblong digital clock and billet air vents fed by a vintage air system. All the desirable features are there; such as a tilt-billet steering wheel, am/fm/cd sound system, power windows, door locks and brakes. A fully chromed zz4 350 crate motor was installed in its pristine engine compartment and provides plenty of muscle to the four-speed 700r4 transmission and 8" Ford packing a 3.55:1 gear. Underneath this beauty you'll find an absolutely impeccable undercarriage that is fully detailed and as stunning as the rest of the car. It features a fully powder-coated frame, rear axle and suspension; consisting of tubular upper and lower control arms up front with chromed coil springs and tried and true leaf springs. This is just the kind of build that deserves placing a full length mirror underneath to share in its craftsmanship. A pictorial album documenting the build of this '39 will be included with the purchase of this extraordinary automobile. Call or visit our website at for more information.
