1939 Plymouth p8 Deluxe convertible with rumble seat. Absolutely stunning. Exceptional. This wonderful Plymouth received an off frame restoration to exacting standards at a cost in excess of $170,000. The restoration was photo documented and logged. The chassis and underbody are highly detailed, featuring gloss black frame rails and body color floors. The level of finish on the underside of this automobile matches that of the top side. To say this automobile is rare would be an understatement. Only 5,976 examples were built, how many could have survived? This may be the absolute finest example in existence. This Plymouth was built with pride in detroit michigan usa. Finished in striking "salt glaze pottery blue" which is complimented by a "saddle tan" leather interior and tan cloth power top with matching boot. Powered by a 201 cubic inch flathead inline six cylinder engine which Plymouth rated at 82 horsepower. 1939 was the last year for the rumble seat on any Plymouth. 1939 was also the first year for the column shift transmission, which gives more room to front seat passengers. Features include wind wings, am radio, Plymouth "clipper ship" mascot, driver side mirror, Deluxe wheel trim rings, Deluxe hubcap trim, heater, color change back-lite speedometer, tool kit, and sculptured good year wide white wall tires. The power top has been converted to a modern hydraulic system for convenience. This Plymouth is ready to drive, show, enjoy and win awards. Excellent candidate for aaca (antique automobile club of america) shows and tours. This is an exceptional pre-war Plymouth. Call pete or andy be sure to watch the video! |
