'this 1940 ford standard coupe is finished in rich gm black rose paint, complemented by pin striping. The interior has power bucket seats in burgundy and maroon leather and tweed. The trunk, headliner, and door panels all match. It was built by one of the best rod builders in the nation, larry tripp, of tripp built cars. It has an all-steel body, fuel injected lt1 with street and performance accessories, a gm 4l60e 4-speed automatic overdrive trans, 8-inch posi ford differential, mustang ii front suspension, and power steering, brakes, and windows. It also features vintage air cooling and heating, billet specialties legacy rims, tilt, pioneer deh-150mp am/fm, cd with remote, all electronic vdo gauges, and a custom-built dash. The hood has been nosed, the trunk lid decked, doors shaved, and fenders molded to body as one piece, and it looks incredible. The tail lights and 3rd brake light are recessed, with multiple lights with sequential turn signals, and the license plate in rear folds up when parked and folds down when leaving the award presentation at the car show. This is a upper end show car that likes to roll. It will get out of the hole fast while cruising up the pch at 80 and just 1,700 rpms. |
