They introduced a second convertible model, called the sportsman, which featured "woodie" designs similar to the chrysler town & country. Now this particular model would have came with a 239ci flathead engine, it now sports a 255ci mercury flathead pumping out some serious power for one of these engines. The engine has been bored .60 over and the block and heads have been decked for maximum compression while still operating on pump gas. The infamous ????3 on the tree????? Helps controls the gears and the car sports a columbia 2 speed rear end. One drum is a 2.62 gear and the other is a 3.73 gear. So your 3 speed just turned into a 5. The car is lathered is a gorgeous pheasant red laquor paint job and is very reminiscent of the hot rods of the past.
