| Up for sale in the houston showroom is one heck of a find, the 1949 Hudson super six. The Hudson car company made Hudson and other brand automobiles in detroit, michigan from 1909 to 1954. In 1954, Hudson merged with nash corporation to form american motors (amc). The Hudson name was continued through the 1957 model year, after which it was discontinued. 1948 and 1949, the company launched their "step-down" bodies, which lasted through the 1954 model year. The complete restoration includes: new engine rebuild (all new parts, hardened valves, timing belt, pistons) 1500 miles on new engine. Intake manifold milled (was wrapped). 6v to 12 volt electrical conversion. Electric power steering, air conditioning, electric fuel injection, electric ignition distributor, coil. New white tires. Power coated bumpers and steel wheels. New fuel pump, fuel return system/wiring, cleaned gasoline. New pinion shaft seal oil. Replaced radiator, wheel bearings. New heavy duty shocks and front springs. Front end alignment with wheel balance. Transmission and rear end serviced. Complete lubrication. New clutch fluid and throwout bearing. Tune up with new points and plugs. Electric windshield wipers. Replaced steering gear and linkage. Intake manifold milled (was wrapped). Clutch and pressure plate in pristine condition. New carpet, door panels, seat covers, new foam insulation on roof, new vinyl headliner. Replaced old rubber seals around the doors and vent. (have trunk seals, but not installed).
