| Description: before you think you are seeing things, yes this 55 Ford has 1956 trim and front end styling. That is because it was built and sold originally in mexico. It was imported to texas years ago and came to us from a local private collection. It is a super nice drop top Ford with a truly fifties look. Lots of trim, chrome, two tone exterior, and interior treatment screams fifties. These Fords are know for being solid, good driving cars and this one is no exception. It is powered by the standard 272 v-8 with oil bath air cleaner and dual exhaust. It has manual brakes, steering, and 3-speed overdrive transmission. The body has good fit up and the paint is very nice. It is accented with loads of chrome, wide white radial tires, wire wheel disc, dual rear mounted antennas, and fender skirts. The immaculate interior carries the two tone trim as mentioned but also is outlined with red piping. Very nice. The seat covers, door panels, dash, and carpet are in outstanding condition. It also has deluxe pedals and stalk mounted, "three on the tree" shifter. A smooth operating power top is covered in hartz cloth. It features a clear back light, chrome header, and matching easy snap on boot. The trunk is fully carpeted and houses a sub woofer to enhance the updated stereo system. Though not show quality, the chassis is clean and shows well. This car rides and drives terrific and is very easy on the eyes. If you are thinking of investing in a mid fifties convertible you should really consider this fine Ford. You just do not see as many of these great cars as chevy bel air models.
