For sale in our detroit showroom is an impressive, steel bodied, 1955 GMC 100 "big window" pick-up. This mid 1950's Pickup is iconic and is the first production year of the GMC blue chip series pick-up trucks which only lasted until 1959. This specific big window is true survivor and is dressed in era correct bright teal with a summit white roof. The interior was reupholstered on this pristine pick-up to match its eye-catching paint. The same beautiful bright teal is used on the interior's custom painted dash which is equipped with an oil gauge, generator (battery) gauge, gas gauge, thermostat gauge and even a vacuum gauge which was a very rare option for a 1950's pick-up. There is also a manual toggle switch for a custom electric cooling fan which is also wired to the factory thermostat gauge. Under the steel hood of this pick-up sits a newer small block chevy v8 paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. In the 1950's, it was a rare option to have an automatic transmission on a pick-up truck, the more commonly used 3 speed "3 on the tree" manual transmissions were widely available making automatic transmission trucks like this one more desirable. This pick-up rests beautifully on a new set of era correct, color-matched wheels wrapped in wide white wall radials. The baby moon hub-caps are a perfect fit for this 1950's GMC. Whether you are planning on putting this GMC to work on your ranch or want to use it as a weekend cruiser it will definitely make its next owner very proud.
