Description: 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible factory grenadier red exterior over parchment interior with ivory white power convertible top! Factory GTO with tri-power carburetion, m20 4-speed manual transmission, 3.23 safe-t-track axle, power steering, and more! Code correct 76x block & phs documentation included! Great investment! Much credit is given to the 1964 Pontiac GTO as the car that paved the way for all muscle cars after it. With plenty of power on tap for larger sedan in the early 1960's, the GTO set a new standard of smaller, more affordable power for younger buyers. They reacted accordingly, and all manufactures followed with trendy performance cars with a sportier feel. With only your pocketbook holding you back, you could easily accessorize your Pontiac with a host of available options as well! We are pleased to have the opportunity to showcase this 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible fitted with its original 76x-coded 389ci v8 and factory tri-power carburetion! Options include m20 4-speed wide-ratio manual transmission, center console, 3.23 safe-t-track rear axle, power steering, power folding convertible top, deluxe 4-spoke steering wheel, deluxe wheel discs, upgraded bf goodrich silvertown radial redline tires measuring 215/70r14, passenger visor vanity mirror, interior courtesy lights, dash tachometer, day/night rearview mirror, all soft ray glass, heavy duty air cleaner, front seat belts, rubber floor mats, and more! This vehicle survives larger original for the most part. We feel strongly that the odometer reading of 82,922 is likely original to this outstandingly well-kept GTO, but do not have enough documentation to support a true mileage claim. The exterior of the car was repainted professionally some years ago in the original, factory code v- grenadier red leaving the parchment interior(219) virtually untouched. The original seat upholstery, door panels, carpet, console, and trim remain in rather sharp condition, showing just typical wear from age. The correct ivory convertible top and boot cover are brand new. The body possesses zero patch panels that we can find, and showcases excellent spot welds, perfect seams, and panel fitment throughout! A car that has definitely been garage kept and seen little time out in wet weather. It continues to start, run, and stop exactly as you could imagine! It makes ample power, swift shifts with excellent clutch feel, and brakes confidently even with manual drums at four corners. The power top operation is faultless. It comes with Pontiac historical services documentation included. Please feel free to contact with further questions, or to schedule a chance to review in person. We look forward to hearing from you!
