1965 Aston Martin DB5
Interior Color: Beige
Exterior Color: Fiesta Red
Transmission: Manual
Condition: Excellent

Description: --fiesta red with beige leather interior and beige carpeting, restored, 5-speed zf manual gearbox, factory air conditioning, original left hand drive, optional borrani wire wheels, matching numbers. This DB5 was delivered on december 7, 1965 to mr. Edwin v. Perdue of louisberg, kansas. It was originally ordered in california sage green with beige leather and carpets, borg warner automatic transmission (this has been replaced with a factory original zf 5-speed gearbox as many had been in the period, the automatic gearbox having been affectionately known as a slush box' due to its incredibly slow and crude shifting capability), normalair air conditioning, engine breather valve scheme/covers, bosch koln tr radio with power aerial, chrome wheels, heated rear screen, fiam horns with changeover switch and 3.73:1 limited slip differential. In 1970 it was in the ownership of james s. Hillhouse of denver, colorado. It appears the DB5 had a couple of owners in between mr. Hillhouse and the previous owner's purchase in 1988 from its then dallas, texas custodian. Since 1988 this DB5 has been owned and cared for by a well-known aston enthusiast-collector. It is still with its matching numbers engine. It has throughout the years received restoration work both mechanical and cosmetic by well-known Aston Martin independent specialists. As stated above, it is an original lhd example with rare period air conditioning and has been fitted with optional borrani wire wheels. It has always been cared for regardless of cost or use. Simply put, this DB5 has been the pride and joy of its past owner throughout the past twenty-six years. He has stood proudly beside it at every amoc event, classic car event and concours. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a restored, original lhd DB5 with factory air conditioning, original books, tools, factory jack and detailed history and records throughout its years.
