| This 1965 Ford Mustang is for sale in our louisville ky showroom. The Mustang created the "pony car" class of american automobiles; sports-car like coupes with long hoods and short rear decks and gave rise to competitors such as the chevrolet camaro, pontiac firebird, amc javelin, chrysler's revamped plymouth barracuda and the first generation dodge challenger. The Mustang is also credited for inspiring the designs of coup????s such as the toyota celica and Ford capri, which were imported to the united states. This iconic pony car on has 2000 miles on it since the rebuild and has been owned by the same individual since 1966! The gentleman is in his late 80????s and he has decided it is time to sell! Hope i can on to my stangs until i????m in my 80????s! The exterior has been repainted in dynasty green, which is the original paint code (d) for this Mustang. The vinyl top is in excellent shape. Under the hood is the legendary 289 v8 engine that has powered 100 of thousands of these Mustangs. The c code engine is period correct, but the engine block has been replaced. Everything in the drive train is original to the stang. Inside you will find a nice black vinyl interior that is basic but exceptionally clean. It????s very hard to find these old pony cars where everything is still intact. This Mustang is unmolested and still sports the am radio, factory gauges and warning lights. The center console is a nice appearance, and not found in every ????65 Mustang.
