All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. The first generation shelby gt350 is one of the most identifiable and desirable Mustangs of all time. This restored 1965 replica captures the same spirit of these legendary fastbacks, but at a fraction of the price. This Mustang started life in january 1965 as a vintage burgundy 2 2 fastback. Built in dearborn and sold new in the atlanta area, it was equipped with an a-code 289ci / 225hp engine and 4-speed manual transmission. In 2014 it was stripped down and redone as the shelby replica you see here. External highlights include new floor pans, brilliant red paint with white racing stripes, and lots of new chrome. There are also shelby style hood and quarter scoops along with a gt exhaust. The car rides on new magnum wheels and bf goodrich tires which really complete the look. The 289ci engine was rebuilt to factory specifications, though it now has an edelbrock performer carburetor with electric choke. The cobra valve covers look great, while the monte carlo bar and export brace stiffen up the front end. The toploader 4-speed transmission and Ford shifter make these old Mustangs a lot of fun. The brakes have been rebuilt and updated with discs in front and a dual reservoir master cylinder, while the steering and suspension are factory style with a few updates. The dual exhaust is all new along with much of the wiring harness. The black interior has many new parts as well. The bucket seat covers, carpet, headliner, door panels, and dash pad are all new. So are the floor mats, sill plates, front seat belts, and the handsome wooden steering wheel. The heater, wipers, washers, horn, and parking brake all work properly. Same with the air vents, dash lights, courtesy lights, and classic am radio. And the fold-down rear seat and sail panel vents are great fastback features. While a real shelby gt350 would be great to have (and much more expensive), it is far easier to relax and enjoy a car like this. It looks fantastic but is also a complete, ready-to-go classic. All the hard work is done so you get to have all the fun.
