Up for sale in our houston showroom is a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500. The galaxie was introduced by Ford in the united states from 1959 until 1974 as its full size car to compete against the chevrolet impala. This galaxie is from the third generation which was offered from 1965 through 1968. Along with a new generation came a whole new design, one easily spotted change is in the headlights, they are vertically stacked dual headlights making the car seem taller and bulkier than previous years. Suspension was also altered getting rid of the former leaf-springs and replacing with a three-link system which improved the ride and was also used in nascars full-size class. The only big changes interior wise were on the instrument panel and u.s. Government regulated seat belts in the front and rear for 1966 vehicles sold domestically. This particular Galaxie 500 is sporting a 390 c.i.d v8 and 3 speed automatic transmission that is a guaranteed package of nothing but fun! The beautiful red exterior is what makes this Ford pop but the black vinyl interior is just going to make you feel that much more comfortable behind the wheel. The options on 1966 Galaxie 500 include: am radio, seatbelts, vinyl interior, power steering, rally wheels, hub caps, radial tires and white walls.
