All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. If you've ever considered a c3 Corvette then take a good look at this one. This 1968 numbers-matching l79 4-speed convertible is one of the nicest examples around. This car has been through a complete restoration. Originally a silverstone silver car, it was repainted in gm bright red. The paint is outstanding; the car really pops in this color, especially with the chrome american racing wheels (rally wheels with tires are included). The fiberglass is in great condition too without any cracking. All chrome is excellent. The tan top is in nice condition, and a hard top is included as well. Under the hood is the car's original l79 engine, complete with the correct vin stamping and ht suffix code. Factory rated at 350 hp, this 327 ci engine was the most powerful Corvette small block from 1966-1968. The l79 was highlighted by one of the first high performance hydraulic camshafts available, along with 11:1 pistons and 2.02 heads. The engine has been rebuilt and has a few aftermarket parts, most notably the intake manifold and headers (original parts are included). It starts easily and really sounds great, making it a true pleasure to shift through the gears on the muncie 4-speed. This car was built for speed; no power robbing accessories here. It has manual steering which is very responsive and requires less effort than a big-block car. The manual 4-wheel disc brakes are outstanding and include new calipers and hoses; you won't have any trouble stopping this car. The black interior is standard Corvette. Here too there are many new items. All gauges, dash lights, and courtesy lights work fine. All vacuum systems (headlights, wiper door) function properly as well. The aftermarket stereo sounds good (though not as good as the engine). And not only does the key buzzer work, but so do all the fiber optics! How often do you find that in a c3? This is one of those cars that looks great in pictures but is even better in person. Combined with the awesome l79 drivetrain, it makes for a fantastic Corvette you'll want to enjoy every chance you get.
