| For sale in our st. Louis showroom is a 1969 Ford Torino gt convertible with the 390 fe engine and c6 transmission. Recently restored and looking great in its color combination of white clear coat with black accent stripes, black top and black interior. Equipment includes the 390 cubic inch big block, power steering, power brakes (front disc), bucket seats, center console, tachometer, power top, am/fm radio, rear air shocks and a ram air intake system. During the restoration of this rare Torino gt a lot of love and money went into her including a new windshield, new top, starter, carburetor, hood insulation, door seals, trunk seals and bumpers. The list goes on and on including brakes, shocks and interior to name a few. 1969 was the second year for the Torino with only minor changes from its previous year. It could be ordered with a 6 cylinder or all the way up to the 428 super cobra jet. Beneath the two 428s was the 390 producing 320 horsepower as originally equipped with this Torino gt. Only 928 Torino gt convertibles with bucket seats were produced in 1969 and who knows how many were produced with the 390 vs. The standard 302. The Torino was originally designed to compete in stock car racing and was without a doubt a serious contender with many victories for both Ford and Ford fans.
