Up for sale in the tampa showroom is arguably the best muscle car ever to be on the earth, the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. For the 1970 Barracuda, redesign, removed all its previous commonality with the valiant. The original fastback design was deleted from the line and the Barracuda now consisted of coupe and convertible models. The all-new model, styled by john e. Herlitz, was built on a shorter, wider version of chryslers existing b platform, called the e-body. Sharing this platform was the newly launched dodge challenger; however no sheet metal interchanged between the two cars. The Barracudas for sale in that time period came from the factory sporting the 440ci four-barrel super commando, the 440ci six-barrel super commando six pak, and the 426ci hemi. This car being quipped with the 440 c.i.d v8 received the upgraded suspension components and structural reinforcements to help transfer the power to the road. Rowing through the gears via a pistol grip shifter and running it all through a 5 speed manual transmission and planting it to pavement through a 8 3/4 rear end, i guess you can say, this is one bad Barracuda. The body looks phenomenal along with the hemi orange paint that, according to the build sheet, is the original paint code. The mopar for sale is an original a/c car, and most parts are still installed. Options on this gorgeous hemi orange 1970 Plymouth Barracuda include: vinyl interior, seat belts & high performance radial tires wrapped around rally wheels.
