The good-it is a 5 ton (off-road) extended bed 1971 kaiser jeep rebuilt by southeast equipment co for the hughes aircraft co as a test vehicle where i purchased it in 1994. Mileage from rebuild 2398. Cummins diesel b-240 with 5 speed manual transmission all in good order. No observed leaks. Power steering. Very easy to drive. Vehicle has no rust. 12 volt system (4 new batteries) most original 24 volt light wiring harness disconnected and remains in place on vehicle. Rebuilt master cylinder and air pack. Recent 3 color nato paint (carc chemical agent resistant coating) with actual camo military pattern. Dual fuel tanks. Unladen wt 23700. Fitted with super single wheels and tires including spare. 20' steel bed with updated fiberglass troop seats.. Vinyl cab top and cargo cover in good shape. Interior military driver's and bench seats replaced with black equipment bucket seats. All gauges are commercial. . The bad-some tires have weather checking. One wheel cylinder replaced. The new air pack then blew out the remaining 5 cylinders. 5 new wheel cylinders and axle seals will be supplied to buyer.. Turn signals inoperable.
