Stk 1980 1972 Dodge Dart the Dodge Dart is very much an interesting automobile that has certainly gone through a lot of changes over the years. When first introduced in 1960, it was built and marketed as a full-size model. In 1962 it was reshaped into a mid-size model and changed once more in 1963 on through the end of its 1976 model run as a compact offering. Over those years it has done battle in the nhra in d/stock and super/stock classes at the hands of men like "big daddy" don garlits and "dandy" dick landy. It has even turned a wheel in scca competition at the hands of none other than bob tullius, tony adamowicz and their group 44 racing team. This jet-black, 1972 Dodge Dart swinger has gone through some changes of its own. Originally manufactured in hamtramck, michigan as a 318 powered g-code car; this rust-free a-body was transformed into much, much more. With its current 400 cubic inch, b-series engine disguised as a 340 six-pack, it wears the requisite three holley two-barrel carbs and aluminum intake making 1350 cfm along with a mopar purple shaft cam and long-tube hooker headers; complete with exhaust dumps, x- pipe and aggressive high-flow mufflers. An 803 four-speed manual transmission and 3.90 posi rear axle complete this beefy driveline. Inside the cockpit, this swinger is all business; with its black high-back vinyl racing buckets, hurst slap-stick shifter rising up from the floor and under-dash compliment of silver-face autometer sport comp gauges. Underneath, super-stock springs, sub-frame connectors, rear pinion snubber and air-shocks aid the meaty 215/70/14 front and g60/14 rear tires to lay it down to the pavement. Let all mopar lovers rejoice! See salesperson for more information all vehicles sold "as-is".
