A very nice MGb gt freshly rebuilt engine, 2.88 lift 1/2 race camshaft, balanced, new 32dgv weber carb on alloy pierce manifold, sandblasted and powder coated exhaust manifold, new twin pipe exhaust, electronic ignition, rebuilt 4 speed transmission with rebuilt overdrive unit, new clutch. Excellent body with new royal blue paint (base coat/clear coat), new bumpers, very clean brownish/tan interior, dash top and arm rest professionally dyed to match, wood dashboard and wood steering wheel, sony stereo/cd with usb input, new speakers, extra 12v outlet (for xm radio). Completely rebuilt front end, new lower a arms, thicker front sway bar, new rear springs and bushings, tie down mounting plates, rebuilt brakes, 14" wire wheels (choice of painted or new 72 spoke chrome, depending on price), oil cooler, racing battery switch, remote battery jumper terminals, racing style starter motor, new radiator, high output electric radiator cooling fan, painted and detailed engine bay, and a lot more was doing this car for my own use but a change in priorities resulted in offering this car for sale. When it came in, there was some rust on the left side...and we welded in uk made rocker and quarter/dog leg panel. Now....no rust. Excellent floors, sills, jacking points, and battery boxes. These are really nice classic touring sports/gt cars and probably undervalued in the market place. With the prospect of keeping this car, i chose a 1972 much nicer than earlier BGTs (in my opinion) with face level air vents, easy to fit a modern air conditioning kit (which we added to my last BGT). And with dual master cylinder, alternator, modern controls, yet in this car's case, more power than even the earliest and most powerful MGs. And with the added advantage of wire wheels and overdrive, virtually ever key options available on these cars. Now that we finished it, a very nice, strong, rust free classic touring car.
