In 1965 Alfa Romeo introduced the gt junior models to replace the aging giulia sprint and give alfa a fresh face in the market place. These peppy little entry level coupe??s were powered by a 1.3l dual overhead cam 4 cylinder that when paired up with a 2000lb car made for a very capable handling alfa. The styling of this era of alfa was taken care of by the world renowned giorgetto giugiaro from bertone. All of the usual bertone elements from the mod era are present with the 1300, from the flat grill and integrated headlights to panoramic yet understated windows and glass. The fine example that we have at our orlando showroom is a well maintained and strong running piece that was imported from germany this year. It should be mentioned that the 1300gt and 1600gt were never imported to america which makes this a very rare opportunity to own one in the states.
